Katie Wright is a Vice President at The Herald Group, where she leverages her extensive experience in communications and political campaigns to specialize in developing and managing issue advocacy campaigns, local and state ballot initiatives, and communication strategies across industries such as energy, healthcare, and defense.
Throughout her career, Katie has worked with Fortune 50 companies, trade associations, advocacy groups, and coalitions, successfully implementing results-driven awareness, reputation, and advocacy campaigns that have made a measurable impact.
Before joining The Herald Group, Katie was Senior Vice President at DDC Public Affairs, where she led the Energy Practice group. In this role, she played a key part in strategic planning, business development, and the execution of some of the industry’s largest and most influential advocacy campaigns.
Katie’s broad public affairs expertise is further enhanced by her political background. She served as Deputy Communications Director for the Republican Party during a cycle when Republicans achieved the largest seat gain since 1938. Additionally, she was Communications Director for George Allen’s U.S. Senate campaign and Regional Press Secretary for the Republican National Committee during the 2008 presidential campaign.
