The Herald Group Expands Public Affairs Team

The Herald Group (THG) is excited to announce the addition of five new members to our team of rockstar public affairs professionals: Vice Presidents Krista Cupp, Sabrina Schaffer, and Marc Brumer; Directors Jason Cannata and Ashley Pratte; and Digital Account Manager Seth Guidry.

Krista comes to THG after more than a decade of experience in strategic communications, crisis management, and grassroots activation in both corporate and non-profit sectors. Before coming to THG, Krista led and managed Tyson Foods’ corporate brand identity, which included analyzing the latest trends and developing communication strategies that increased engagement among internal and external audiences. She previously held positions at the National Rifle Association.

Sabrina joins THG after serving as the executive director of the Independent Women’s Forum for more than five years. Previously, she was a speechwriter for Ohio Sen. George Voinovich and held positions at the Republican Jewish Coalition, White House Writers Group, and American Enterprise Institute (AEI).

Marc has a long history of working on the Hill and in New York politics. Prior to joining THG, he served as the communications director for Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) for nearly three years. He has also worked for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), Rep. Dan Maffei’s office, and the Office of Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer.

Jason comes to THG from FP1 Strategies, where he was an associate vice president for two years. Prior to that, he served as a writer for three government agencies, including the State Department, and also worked on political campaigns.

Ashley joined THG from the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), where she was the director of media relations and public affairs. She also worked at Better for America, LifeZette, FP1 Strategies, and Young America’s Foundation.

Seth Guidry joins THG after working on political digital campaigns at the Lukens Company. Prior to that, he worked at Generation Opportunity in the events and digital departments, as well as at DCI Group.

We’re excited to add more talented, bright and experienced communicators to our roster. To learn more about them, check out their full bios here.
