  • The Herald Group is looking for a highly motivated, career-oriented individual with experience in issue advocacy, public affairs and strategic communications. Director level candidates will be responsible for the strategic development and day-to-day execution of client team activities, as well as interfacing with and managing client contacts to fully execute on account programs.

    Director candidates should be team players and able to handle multiple tasks and accounts at the same time. Significant experience in media relations, content generation and strategy development as they relate to public policies preferred.

The candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills as well as exceptional writing and verbal communication ability. Director of Field Programs should be team players and able to handle multiple tasks and accounts at the same time. Strategy development as it relates to public policy is required. In this role, strong existing relationships with field teams across multiple states are expected. Thorough knowledge of external field organization expertise, skill sets and past successes is required.

    Fellow candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills, good writing and verbal communication ability as well as be able to display excellent experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint. The candidate should be a team player, display an ability to multi-task and possess a keen attention to detail.

    The Herald Group is a full-service public affairs firm in Washington, D.C., that provides strategic communications counsel to major corporations, trade associations and other organizations seeking to advance a policy position or raise awareness in Washington, D.C., or in state capitals. It is a fast-paced, energetic work environment, and fellows will be fully integrated into the innerworkings of the firm, and interact with senior staff, including partners.

    The fellow will play an integral part of client account teams, assisting in delivering high-quality strategic communications services to our clients. Fellows are full-time, and the program is three months after which the fellow will be evaluated for full time employment depending on performance.
