Congratulations to Sharon Copeland - PR News’ Digital PR Disruptor of the Year!
The Herald Group is excited to announce that our very own Senior Digital Director, Sharon Copeland has won PR News’ prestigious People of the Year Award. Sharon was nominated for the PR Digital Disruptor category due to her innovative and creative digital skills that she utilizes not only for our firm but for our clients.
As the Senior Director of Digital at The Herald Group, Sharon oversees client strategy, ensuring the firm's digital endeavors align with client objectives. It has become a weekly tradition for her to present the newest digital innovations to the firm and explain how they can achieve client objectives. Sharon embraced a new approach to online data utilization for targeting to increase the reach of an industry advocacy client. While traditional methods involve leveraging large third-party catalogs of predefined segments, Sharon found unique data combinations that resulted in precise audience definition, specifically, geofencing of specific areas to create an intersecting audience and demographic overlay of known targets. Sharon also embraced the new frontiers of artificial intelligence and developed tools that leveraged content generation on the fly.
Sharon goes above and beyond to ensure that our digital campaigns are not only successful but stand out from the sea of online advertisements that we are often inundated with. This helps us and our clients rise above the fray and successfully message our issue advocacy campaigns.
We are lucky to have Sharon as a part of our team and for her continued leadership here at The Herald Group. Please join us in congratulating Sharon on this professional accomplishment!
