The Herald Group Taps VP Katie Wright to Lead Growing Energy Practice
WASHINGTON, D.C. – April 16, 2025 – Today, The Herald Group announced that Katie Wright has joined the firm as part of its leadership team and to head its growing energy practice. In this position, Wright will leverage her broad executive-level expertise in communications and public affairs to lead professional services teams across client accounts and help to further build out the firm’s federal, state, and international engagements.
Wright brings to The Herald Group extensive experience in developing and managing issue advocacy campaigns, local and state ballot initiatives, and communication strategies across several industry sectors. Over the past two decades, she has worked closely with c-suites and public affairs leaders at numerous Fortune 50 companies, trade associations, and advocacy groups. In addition, she has developed and led several successful industry coalitions to execute some of the largest and most impactful advocacy campaigns related to energy, healthcare, and consumer goods.

Wright most recently served as Senior Vice President at DDC where, over the course of nearly 12 years, she served as a senior strategist and led numerous national, state, and local client team initiatives. Prior to DDC, she served as the Deputy Communications Director for the Republican National Committee, and previously served on the professional staff of the National Republican Senatorial Committee and as a public affairs specialist at the law firm Foley & Lardner.
