Brad Whitford is the Chief Creative Officer at The Herald Group, bringing nearly two decades of creative leadership to the firm’s public-affairs, corporate reputation, and advocacy work. He has spent his career helping organizations communicate with clarity and authenticity—shaping campaigns for Fortune 50 companies, global nonprofits, trade associations, and emerging innovators.
Brad joins THG from DDC Public Affairs, where he served as Senior Vice President and Creative Director. There, he led a full-scale in-house creative operation of designers, art directors, writers, producers, UX/UI specialists, and project managers responsible for delivering every creative product across the agency. Prior to that, he spent eight years as Vice President and Design Director at The Glover Park Group (now FGS Global), guiding major brand, issue, and political efforts.
Across his roles, Brad has built creative teams known for collaboration, craft, and strategic storytelling. His philosophy is simple: creativity is most powerful when it’s honest, human, and grounded in purpose. Whether developing a national issue-advocacy campaign, a brand identity, a manifesto video, or grassroots content designed for real-world impact, he focuses on work that resonates and moves people.
Brad earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. When he’s not building the next campaign, he’s coaching one of his four kids’ teams or loading the family up for their next weekend adventure.
